As her mother introduced her to tennis when she was four years old. Sorana was a top 10 player on the ITF Junior Circuit. Moreover, she reached the final of the Budapest Grand Prix in April 2007. Since Ruxandra Dragomir in June 2000, she is the first Romanian to reach a WTA Tour final.
